"Quickening of the torn"

Concept document of 1993 Love collection gallery (Nagoya) one-person exhibition

When a thing is not expressed in a reproduction way, to what extent the lines can be conscious of ?

Something is inevitably produced in a series of workings of unconsciousness and its expression, and destruction.

Drawing, printing, again drawing, tearing up, and bonding them are repetitive acts where unconscious wrigglings appear and the very time brought by the acts of reproduction captures the whole work.

Nevertheless, what is important is not an accidental discovery of a form, but the “relations” of those formed each other. Though the conscious “form” finally arrived at makes up for it, crowning from there will also come before long.
